The stations are operated by the '''South Dakota Bureau Of Information And Telecommunication''', a state agency. RADIO SDPB's history with radio can be traced back to May 22 , 1922 when KUSD signed on the air. But it wasn't until the 1970s that South Dakota Public Radio became a reality.
