Shopping Spree (the Price Is Right Pricing Game)

Shopping Spree is a Pricing Game on the American Television Game Show '' The Price Is Right ''. This game is played for four prizes, each worth between $400 and $3,000.

GAMEPLAY

The contestant is given a specified amount - usually between $3,000 and $5,000 - and shown four prizes. One at a time, the contestant selects items he thinks will help exhaust the spending account.

If the contestant exceeds the spending limit after his third choice, he wins all four prizes.

TRIVIA

  • Shopping Spree is effectively the reverse of Credit Card . As with Credit Card, only one combination - in this case, the three most expensive prizes - wins; the fourth item will guarantee a loss and is often significantly lower in price than the other three.

  • On a Season 30 episode, Shopping Spree was played by an overly-energetic contestant named Daniel. His appearance has been the subject of several YTMND sites, including some featuring an Animated GIF of his infamous "pee-pee dance" set to the tune of Chingy's " Right Thurr " or a funky TPIR music cue known as "Big Banana Remix". A clip of Daniel's appearance can be found at this site .
