In 1995, Shiva Rose met her husband in a coffee-shop near Santa Monica , Los Angeles. McDermott has been quoted as saying that he heard a whisper to "look" once he was inside and that for him, it was love at first sight. Shiva says that whilst this was not the case for her, she was eventually won over by him. Shiva was the first woman whom McDermott ever pursued. McDermott has said that he had to take her into a "tunnel of love" and drug her to "get her to finally see the light". One of her most loving qualities to him is her generosity. In Febaury 1999, Celebrity Style magazine nominated them as amongst the "20 hottest couples" in Hollywood. Shiva Rose used to work for Betsey Johnson in Los Angeles. She currently resides in a $4 million home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles, which was formerly owned by Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas . Shiva has guest-starred on the television Legal Drama '' The Practice ''. Shiva Rose and Dylan McDermott have two daughters, Colette (nicknamed Coco), born in 1996, and Charlotte Rose (born 8th September 2005). |
