Founded in 1983 , SAAS, as it is locally known, has 523 students. Annual tuition was $18,090 in 2004 . Consisting of Grades 6-12, SAAS is a prepartory school whose mission is to prepare students for college and life. SAAS consists of 4 main buildings, the Temple building, which it shares with Seattle's Temple D'Hirsh Sinai , the Vanderbilt (acquired 1998), the Arts Center (built 2001), and the Gym (built 2003).
