The trust is governed by a board appointed by the Secretary Of State For Education And Skills , and managed on a day-to-day basis by an executive team, the Chair of which is Dame Suzi Leather . A criticism is that 8 of the 14 board members are either part of the food and catering industry, or close to it. {Link without Title} The trust was initially funded by £ 45 million from the Big Lottery Fund and £15 million from the Department for Education and Skills.
