Santa Anna

In Spanish (where it is equivalent to Santa Ana ) and in Italian , "Santa Anna" is the name of Saint Anne , the mother of the Virgin Mary .

Antonio López De Santa Anna (1794-1876), a Mexican Soldier , Dictator , General and statesman who took part in the Texas Revolution as well as governed Mexico intermittently during the early to mid 1800's.
