San Marcos High School is located in Goleta, CA.
It is a public school within the Santa Barbara school district, and enrolls approximately 2000 students grade 9-12.
The school's athletic mascot is the Royals, and the symbol is the Lion of Saint Mark.

In recent years, the school has been recognized on the state and national levels in several different arenas. The mock trial team won the state competition and advanced to the national championships in 2004 and 2006, and the school was named a California Distinguished School in 2005. Additionally, San Marcos received a full 6-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges in the 2005 school year, and faculty member Eric Burrows was named Teacher of the Year in the state of California that same year.

The principal is Craig Morgan.
