''Rock 'N' Roll Singer'' is a song by the Australian Hard Rock band AC/DC . It is the second track of their Australian album '' T.N.T. '', released in December 1975 (see 1975 In Music ), and was written by Angus Young , Malcolm Young , and Bon Scott .

"Rock 'N' Roll Singer" is also the second track on the International Version of ''High Voltage'', released in May 1976 (see 1976 In Music ).

The song is written from the point of view of a person who knew from an early age that he wanted to be a successful Rock 'n' Roll singer. He continues to follow this dream as an adult, rejecting all offers of a so-called normal life.
