The park had a checkered past, having opened and closed several times during the 1990 s, entering Bankruptcy in 1998 . It was last open, on a part-time basis, in 2004 . The water slides, attractions, and Lake Dolores are still visible today from Interstate 15 between California and Las Vegas . Surprisingly the site is still well-maintained; no discarded newspapers blowing in the wind, no trash on the grounds. Rock-A-Hoola looks almost ready to be reopened for the coming summer.
