It was from 9 August 1967 as Midwest Region occupied by Biafra , goveend by a Biafran Military Administrator (17 August 1967 - 19 September 1967 the soldier Albert Nwazu Okonkwo ), till on 19 September 1967 the Republic of Benin was unilaterally declared (07:00; not recognized; the same Albert Nwazu Okonkwo ruled it as Governor), only to be on 20 September 1967 ended as it was militarily reoccupied by Nigerian (13:00).
