It is currently and temporarily located at 5431 West 98th Street in s and public statements designed to remove McGlothlin and his self appointed Board of Directors from office, some of the remaining student body continue to adore the school, with many declaring it the greatest educational experience of their young lives. Others believe that this was their only option and remain because of this. As a new student or parent, if you attend the school for a day and speak with the teachers and students, you will find that most are disatisfied with the outcome and wish that the principal and Board of Directors had stepped down so that the school would be given a fresh start and not lost its charter. LAUSD was willing to work with the school to continue beyond the Spring 2006 semester but the school's administration kept those people in-charge whose departure would have given the school new life. Because of the mismanagement of the principal and his Board of Directors, the school's charter was cut short by two years, a delayed revocation that has only happened one other time in the history of charters granted by LAUSD. After August 2006 , Renaissance Academy will have no charter nor a location, unless the new RA charter, which is in the works, is approved by another district. |
