Rdesktop




rdesktop is an RDP client for Unix and Linux systems released under the GNU General Public Licence (GPL), created to interact with Microsoft Terminal Services .

There are a few ways of getting rdesktop.

On a rpm based Linux there are precompiled RPM's and it is avalable through the mainline yum repository

On a Debian based Linux there are also precomplied .debs and it is also avalable through the appropriate distributions apt repository

There are also sources avalable to compile the program from scratch

USING RDESKTOP


Point the program to a box running Windows Terminal Services, for instance:

rdesktop 192.168.1.10

This starts rdesktop, opens up a terminal session on the machine indicated, and opens a Windows login screen on your machine where you can type your Windows username and password.
