Each race is a five kilometer run/walk (5k), with racers of all ages and abilities encouraged to participate. Breast cancer survivors are given a special pink shirt and hat for participating, and at each race a special ceremony is held in their honor. Additionally, many racers will run in tribute or memory of a loved one who has suffered from the disease.
