The Race Against Hate is a 5,000 Meter Race/Run/Walk held annually by the Ricky Byrdsong Foundation in order to raise money for its continuing operations as well as raise awareness for the foundation. Recent years have included celebrities such as Diann Burns and Benny The Bull . The event has grown in size and popularity throughout the years, now yielding several thousand runners a year. COURSE The path of the race follows Sheridan Road in Evanston, Illinois . The race begins around Lincoln Ave. & Sherridan Road going southward until the intersection of Sherridan Rd. & Greenwood Ave, and then turns around and comes back along the same route. MISCELLANEOUS There is a one-mile kids run which is held immediatley prior to the main race. RACE RESULTS (OVERALL) 2002
