Despite being one of CTV's longest-running programs, the series was suspended from approximately 1997 to 2001 , in favour of the similar '' Sunday Edition '' with Mike Duffy , which CTV inherited following its acquisition by Baton Broadcasting . ''Sunday Edition'' was itself cancelled in 1999 , and ''Question Period'' was revived in 2001 , perhaps due to the launch of a similar (but ultimately short-lived) program on a rival network, '' Global Sunday ''. The program's current hosts are Jane Taber and Craig Oliver . Mike Duffy, who served as a co-host immediately prior to Taber, has been re-assigned to '' Mike Duffy Live '' and '' Countdown With Mike Duffy '', which both air on CTV NewsNet . Past hosts include Pamela Wallin and Bruce Phillips . |
