"Queen of the Night" was the fifth and final single to be released from Whitney Houston 's first feature soundtrack album, '' The Bodyguard Soundtrack ''. SONG INFORMATION The song "Queen of the Night" is a rock-pop-dance number, with Houston expressing how she 'rules the club scene', proclaiming herself "Queen of the Night". The song was co-written by Houston herself, her first time co-writing one of her songs. CHART INFORMATION Due to the moderate success of the previous single "Run to You", "Queen Of The Night" was not chosen to be released in America. However, it did received some radio airplay and appeared on the Billboard Airplay Chart, peaking at #36. Due to Billboard rules, since there was no commercial single available, the song would not be able to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The song did find its way onto the Billboard Hot Club/Dance Music Play chart, and rocketed all the way to #1. The song was released in several other countries and became a hit in the U.K., peaking at #14.
