Poolewe has a warm climate at most times of the year, thanks to the Gulf Stream . The weather is usually very mild, something not generally associated with Scotland. The Gulf Stream's presence produces an almost sub-tropical climate at times; Inverewe Garden could not exist without it. Winters are usually snow-free in Poolewe; normally just a couple of days of poor weather. The Northern Lights are visible on occasion depending on the weather and time of year, though winter is best. |
