Player is a Pop/rock group formed in Los Angeles, California . The lineup of the band has included Peter Backett ( Vocals and Guitar ), John Crowley (vocals and guitar), Wayne Cooke ( Keyboards ), Ronn Moss ( Bass ), and John Friesan ( Drums ). Moss currently plays the role of Ridge Forrester on the tv Soap Opera '' The Bold And The Beautiful ''. The group is best known for their classic Soft Rock sound in the 1970s . Their biggest hit, " Baby Come Back ," rose to # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978 . Their next hit, "This Time I'm In It For Love," cracked the top 10 in 1978. Player's subsequent singles were only moderately successful. The list below tracks their chart performance on the Billboard charts.
