During their short-lived tenure, the Pittsburgh Patriots were never more than an idea. All information about the "team" came off of the IHA's website, which was a dubious source of information at best. Ownership of the team was supposedly held by former IIHL player Dave Morton. Former Towson U. player Drew Hildred was the first player listed as a Patriot, followed a month or so later by their first draft pick, MSOE grad D Rob Kaufman. The Patriots home ice was listed two separate times, at two separate locations. Neither of the actual ice-rinks had heard of the team. |
