POG ('''Pittsburgh Organizing Group''') is a Pittsburgh based progressive group concerned with Peace , Autonomy , Anarchism , Social Justice , Economic Justice , and Environmental Issues locally, nationally, and internationally. POG was started by four friends in June of 2002. The group is Consensus based, non-hierarchical, believes in Affinity Groups , and has shown support for a Diversity Of Tactics . POG's membership is youth based (the current age range is 16-45). POG has organized a number of Protest s, Picket s, Vigils , Direct Action s, Street Theatre , Concert s, Teach-in s, Petition drives, and Rallies over its 3+ year history, including counter-recruitment rallies at military recruitment offices.
