1934 by Mae McMillan who was a tutor to children of families spending the winter in South Florida. Pine Crest middle schoolers also use laptops in their daily studies. The laptops are purchased by the students, who keep them after middle school. PCB has a certified
Dell technician group. The quality of the work done by the technician group is debated in the school, with parents objecting to high costs and sometimes unsuccessful work done on computers. This has become a major topic in the Pinecrest PTA. The total enrollment for Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton is 2,576 students with a 23.6% diversity enrollment. Pine Crest students had an average SAT score of 1322 and an average AP exam score of 3.6. There is a 10:1 student to teacher ratio.
