Next to the Assembly (''Mejlis''), the People's Council (''Khalk Maslakhaty'') is considered the ultimate representative body. The council has 65 members. All candidates at the elections of 7 April , 2003 (turnout 89.3 %) belonged also to the Democratic Party Of Turkmenistan . |
