Physics Department



  • Vincent Strudwick - Season four episode twenty one, Dick vs Strudwick, authored a book on Physics which became the University standard from which Dick must teach and is therefore livid. In retaliation Dick goes home and in one evening writes a book that is supposedly "400 years ahead of its time," when Harry talks about the inevitable questions that will be asked, Dick throws the manuscript in the trash and resigns himself to not having his glory.

  • Nina Campbell - Secretary to Dick and Mary when they shared and office and later Mary when she became Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. Even before Mary lost her position Nina was sent back to Dick's office when Mary was forced to take on former cafeteria clerk Lucy due to Dick's indiscretion.

EXTRANEOUS


The school was named after Admiral Pendelton, the statue of whom stands outside of Huff Hall. In Season four Episode three ''Feeling' Albright'' Dick confuses the horse on which the Admiral is riding with Pendelton's wife.

The Library is notoriously inadequate, in one episode Dick suprises Mary as she is working in the rare books room. Of course on a Friday night the elevator goes off when the library closes, they try the stairs and find them to be blocked, Dick of course says that they will be open tomorrow, Mary informs him the library will be closed tomorrow, "A library closed on the weekend?" Dick states,"Dick, this is not a good school!!" Mary emphatically replies.
