Patagonia restaurant has been named after the country Joaquin and Leticia originated from, Argentina, and the place they are now working and exercing their art of the table, Wales. Patagonia has been for many years a strong link between the Argentinian and the Welsh comunities. The restaurant located in Canton is a friendly place with sophisticated food. Joaquin and Leticia met each other in the kitchen of the Park Hyatt Restaurant in Buenos Aires. Sharing the same passion for 'la grande cuisine', they decided to move to Europe to perfect their skills. While Joaquin was working in a gourmet restaurant in Germany, Leticia was improving her desserts techniques at 'L'école Lenôtre' in France. They came to Wales to work at Le Cassoulet in Cardiff. Le Cassoulet was acclaimed by the Guardian as one of the five best French restaurants in the UK. Having made their mark in Wales, Joaquin and Leticia were keen to open their own business. In 2002 they opened the Patagonia House. A few months later Patagonia restaurant opened. EXTERNAL LINKS |
