Pascoe Vale is a Railway Station in Melbourne , Victoria , Australia . It is located on the Broadmeadows railway line in the Suburb of Pascoe Vale , adjacent to Gaffeney Street. The station is 12.5 Km from Flinders Street Station , and is in the Metcard ticketing Zone 1 & 2 overlap. FACILITIES It is an unstaffed station with few facilities. Two Metcard ticket machines (one of which is coin-only) are located on the citybound platform, and one Coin -only machine is also located on the outbound platform. Each platform has a small waiting room and a Safety Zone . HISTORY Pascoe Vale station was initially opened on November 10 , 1885 by the Victorian Government's railway service. Sections of the line had previously been operated by the Melbourne and Essendon Railway Company, but they had folded and their lines were bought by the Government in 1867 . The line didn't resume operation until 1871 owing to the amount of maintainence required on the infrastructure. However, the current platform buildings are not original.
