An individual who wishes to travel into town or city centers can drive to a large Parking Lot and leave his or her vehicle there. These parking lots are usually free of charge and are often monitored by Security Guards . Once parked, these people then continue to their destination on a Bus . This bus service is usually frequent, and often subsidized by the local municipality to keep the fares down. Usually the bus is limited stop on the way to its destination, and many towns and cities will have the use "Bus Priority Routes" to aid its journey. These Park and Ride schemes are often marketed in such a way that they sell themselves against the difficulties and cost of parking within the city center. |
