Paradoxology is the study of paradoxes. There are some who subscribe to the theory that the essence of existence is a paradox. From a layman’s point of view there is much in physics that supports this theory. The duality of particles and the uncertainly principle point to the paradoxical nature of the universe. Yes, you can have it both ways and neither way simultaneously. If the universe as we perceive it is indeed built on a paradox, this line of thinking may have far reaching effects. Just as Euclidian geometry has for centuries successfully been used to describe how humans perceives the universe, a paradoxologist strives to develop language and system that will eventually be used to describe an enhance perception of the universe. |
