Oriental Adventures was published in 1985 by TSR, Inc. for the AD&D 1st edition, and was set in a land called Kara-Tur . It is a 144 page book written by Gary Gygax with David Cook and Francois Marcela-Froideval. Four supporting modules under the Oriental Adventures name were produced, but from 1988 Kara-Tur was placed in the Forgotten Realms and additional material was released under that brand, rather than the Oriental Adventures banner. Oriental Adventures (ISBN 0-7869-2015-7) by James Wyatt was published in October 2001 by Wizards Of The Coast , the current owners of Dungeons & Dragons, as a supplement for the V3.0 rules. The book includes 5 new races, 5 new classes, over 25 new prestige classes, 100 new spells, and 75 new monsters. The featured campaign setting of this edition is Rokugan of Legend Of The Five Rings , acquired by Wizards Of The Coast in their purchase of the Five Rings Publishing Group . |
