- 2004 - The final game in Montreal Expos team history is played away from home, against the New York Mets at Shea Stadium . New York defeated Montreal 8–1. Jamey Carroll scored the final Expos run and Endy Chávez became the final Expos batter in history when he singled out in the top of the ninth to end the game. Ironically, it was at Shea Stadium where the Expos played their first ever game in 1969.
