GEOGRAPHY Oak Creek is located at 40°16'30" North, 106°57'27" West (40.275049, -106.957607). According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 0.8 Km&2 (0.3 Mi&2 ). 0.8 km&2 (0.3 mi&2) of it is land and none of it is covered by water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 849 people, 366 households, and 217 families residing in the town. The Population Density was 1,130.3/km&2 (2,937.2/mi&2). There were 441 housing units at an average density of 587.1/km&2 (1,525.7/mi&2). The racial makeup of the town was 93.40% White , 0.00% African American , 2.47% Native American , 0.71% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.71% from Other Races , and 2.71% from two or more races. 4.59% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 366 households out of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.7% were Married Couples living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.7% were non-families. 32.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.32 and the average family size was 2.90. In the town the population was spread out with 25.9% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 33.3% from 25 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 7.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 102.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 113.2 males.
