Nuclear genes are the "original" Gene s of the Eukaryote s. Mitochondria and Chloroplast s are thought to be Symbiotic Bacteria that are now so intergrated to their host Cell s that they essentially function as integral cell components or Organelle s. Both of these Organelle s still retain a small Genome . Most of their Protein s are products of nuclear genes. These are produced in the Cytoplasm like all nuclear gene products and then transported to their final destination. |
