Information AboutNovelistic Discourse |
|
'Novelistic Discourse' is concerned with elements of a novel's narrative; the style, plot, and the role of the narrator. Brought about in the 18th Century from the very earliest examples of novels (i.e. 'Robinson Crusoe'; Daniel Defoe, or 'Oroonoko'; Aphra Behn), the term was coined from the very birth of 'novel' as a word, meaning literally 'something new, unusual and different.' |
