A not for profit entity is allowed to make a Profit , and therefore the term 'non profit' is incorrect. A not for profit entity may legally and ethically accumulate wealth, and trade at a profit.

Some examples of organizations that would probably be founded as not for profit entities include Charities , foundations, and IPS es.

In Australia , a not for profit entity is often identified by the suffix "Inc.", whereas a profit-making corporation is often identified by the suffix "Ltd."
