Information About

Norwegian Crown

Crown Odyssey was built in 1988 for Royal Cruise Line (RCL), who were taken over by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) in 1989. NCL mismanaged the highly regarded Royal Cruise Line , and in 1996 all the ex-RCL ships were integrated into the more down-market NCL fleet. Crown Odyssey was renamed Norwegian Crown. Following the NCL purchase of Orient Lines (who will retain their separate identity), Norwegian Crown was transferred, regaining her original name Crown Odyssey in the process.

In November 2002, it was announced that Crown Odyssey would return to the NCL fleet in September 2003.
