Northwestern College has an enrollment of over 2,500 students in traditional and non-traditional programs. Northwestern is the only nondenominational private college in the state of Minnesota . The College is an independent enterprise which takes a Biblically Christian ethical and moral position and is theologically conservative in doctrine. The campus houses the KTIS radio stations, broadcasting Christian programming to the Twin Cities area. In addition to KTIS, Northwestern College owns and operates media outlets in 7 other cities: KFNW in Fargo, ND; KDNW and KDNI in Duluth, MN; WNWC in Madison, WI; KNWS in Waterloo, IA; KNWI and KNWM in Des Moines, IA; KNWC in Sioux Falls, SD; and WSMR in Sarasota, FL. On October 8 , 2005 , Northwestern's Football team became the first college team in modern history to play two games in the same day. They first played Trinity Bible College at home in the early afternoon, winning 59-0.
