Northampton North is a Constituency represented in the House Of Commons of the Parliament Of The United Kingdom . It elects one Member Of Parliament (MP) by the First Past The Post system of election. It was created before the election of February 1974 when the old constituency of Northampton was split into Northampton North and Northampton South .

Following their review of parliamentary representation in Northamptonshire , the Boundary Commission For England has created a new seat for county which has meant consequential changes to the existing seats.
