is a
Constituency represented in the
House Of Commons of the
Parliament Of The United Kingdom . It elects one
Member Of Parliament (MP) by the
First Past The Post system of election. It was created before the election of
February 1974 when the old constituency of Northampton was split into Northampton North and
Northampton South .
Following their review of parliamentary representation in
Northamptonshire , the
Boundary Commission For England has created a new seat for county which has meant consequential changes to the existing seats.
The modified Northampton North is formed from the following electoral wards;
- Abington, Boughton Green, Eastfield, Headlands, Kingsley, Kingsthorpe, Lumbertubs, Parklands, St David and Thorplands
The other seat in Northampton is
