North West Durham is a Constituency represented in the House Of Commons of the Parliament Of The United Kingdom . It elects one Member Of Parliament (MP) by the First Past The Post system of election.


BOUNDARIES

The constituency is located in the north west of County Durham , in the North East England region. It consists of the western part of the Derwentside district (including Consett and Lanchester ) and the northern part of the Wear Valley district (including Weardale , Crook and Willington ).


Boundary review

Following their review of parliamentary representation in County Durham , the Boundary Commission For England has made minor changes to the existing North West Durham seat. It will be fought at the UK general election in 2009 or 2010
