North Dakota Fighting Sioux Hockey




The North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey teams (men's and women's) are the only Divsion I sports at the University Of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota . The Sioux men have won seven Frozen Four NCAA Division I championships. The current men's head coach is former Sioux player Dave Hakstol and the current women's head coach is Shantel Rivard .


FIGHTING SIOUX MEN'S TEAM

The roots of the men's team go back to 1946 . The Sioux men played in the "WIHL" until the WCHA was formed in 1951.
