History

1961 - Founded as Norfolk Lijn N.V.

1973 - Original owner Remeeus sells Norfolk Lijn to Unilever .

1974 - Renamed Norfolk Line.

1985 - The Maersk Company Ltd, subsidiary of A.P. Møller acquires Norfolk Line.

1995 - Norfolk Line merges with rail transport specialist Skandi .

1997 - Rotterdam (Holland) to Waterford ( Ireland ) container route opened.

1998 - Current Norfolkline name adopted.

2000 - New Dover ( UK ) to Dunkerque (France) ferry route started.

2005 - Acquires Norse Merchant Ferries , a Ro-ro ferry operator on Irish Sea routes.
