National Academic Games Project

The National Academic Games Project is the oldest continuously running program involving the Academic Games competitions
in the nation. The games actually began with Wff'N Proof, considered the "Grandaddy" of Academic Games in the mid 1950's. The
first national competition was held in the mid 1960's and has run continuously ever since. The national tournaments were originally held at various college campuses, but eventually the traditional site became the Rock Eage 4-H center in Eatonton,
Georgia. {Link without Title}

Robert W. Allen, and his brother, Layman Allen, were among the games' founding fathers. Robert Allen was one of the
originators of the games Linguishtik and Propaganda, while Laymen Allen was among the designers of Wff'N Proof (the oldest of
the games), and the math games, On-Sets and Equations. The other two games played include Presidents (originally called, "A
Game called Mr. President), and Worldcard, (Originally called Americard-Euorocard). More information on the original Academic
Games program can be found at {Link without Title}
