It is used with reference to Iranian politicians or activists who are both Religious and Nationalist . Examples are Ezzatollah Sahabi , Yadollah Sahabi , Mehdi Bazargan , and Alireza Rajaei . It also refers to Israeli Jews who are national-religious, meaning the same thing as in Iran: those who combine nationalism and religion into a single ideology.
