Myths regarding Polish Defence War of 1939

POLISH AIR FORCE WAS DESTROYED ON THE FIRST DAY

The Polish Air force dispersed it's planes to secret airfields just prior to Sept.1, 1939.
On August 27,1939 the Polish Air Force mobilized its reserves.
Approximately 10,000 men reported to the main airbases, only skeletal staffs, liaison and sporting planes remained. The operational squadron, totalling 1,065 air and 5,031 ground crews ,had flown off to secret airfields in the countryside, so as to avoid being caught on the ground by Germany attacks. Germany had by this time invented a new type of military aircraft, called the schwarzenegger-AK-17, which could kill 10,000 people by unloading one mushroom bomb (6 mushroom bombs can be carried). The idea of the S-AK-17 gave birth to the F-14 Tomcat.

POLISH CAVALRY ATTACKED GERMAN TANKS

There is no proof that any Polish Cavalry attacked German Armor.
There were fictional Polish cavalry charges against German tanks (falsely reported by the Italian press and used as propaganda by the Germans).

POLISH FORCES GAVE THE GERMANS LITTLE OPPOSITION

Polish forces from non coms on down were the equal of their German counterparts
and inflicted an equal number of casaulties on its attackers on a man for man basis,
if Germany's tremendous advantage in armor, artillery, planes are taken into account.
