Information AboutMuhammad Bin Abdul Aziz Al-saud |
Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud ( 1910 - 1985 ) ( Arabic : محمد بن عبد العزيز ال سعود) was a member of the House Of Saud and a brother to all of Saudi Arabia 's recent kings. Muhammad was the only full brother of the former king Khalid . Though never becoming king himself, Muhammad was known as a Kingmaker . When King Saud was deposed in 1964 , Muhammad was the oldest eligible prince and next in line for succession, but he declined the throne and instead supported Faisal as the next king. Then in 1975 , after Faisal was assassinated and Khalid became king, Muhammed was a powerful behind-the-scenes negotiator in persuading his brothers to accept Fahd as the Crown Prince and next in line for succession. When Fahd became king, he would frequently consult Mohammed before making major policy decisions. |
