Sol Sanders wrote: :Morton Kaplan, editor of the ponderous monthly The World And I , a Moon -inspired attempt to reach American intellectuals, says that there has always been a conflict between more sophisticated members of the Moon affiliates and "simplistic" political activists among the Moonies and their nonchurch collaborators. Kaplan, a University Of Chicago professor, argues, like other Moon fellow-travelers, that Moon has never interfered with his operations. He has been President of the Professors' World Peace Academy International since 1983. He has been publisher of The World & I magazine since 1985. Dr. Kaplan was born May 9, 1921 in Philadelphia and was educated at Temple University, Stanford University and received his Ph.D. at Columbia University in 1951.
