Information About

Montana (steamboat)

In 2005 , low rainfall caused the wreck to be revealed.

The Montana was the largest ship of its kind to travel the Missouri: it was 283 feet long (including the Paddle Wheel ) and 50 feet wide and 50 feet tall.

It sank as a result of a collision with a railroad bridge. Ironically, the Railroad also ended the steamboat era.

It had two sister ships: The Dakota and the Wyoming .
