ORIGIN OF NAME AND HISTORY

Mont-Royal takes its name from Town Of Mount Royal (in French , Ville-Mont-Royal), where the station is located.

Town of Mount Royal, in turn, takes its name from Mount Royal , the mountain that dominates the Island Of Montreal .

Mont-Royal station was previously a stop for passenger trains leaving or approaching Montreal's Central Station on this north-bound track.


LOCATION

The station is located at 1275 Dunkirk Road. It is located at the eastern end of the Traffic Circle created by Graham and Laird boulevards, between Canora and Dunkirk roads, and between Lombard Crescent and Cornwall Avenue.
