The '''Mobile BayBears'' owned by Dr. Eric Margenau, are a Minor League Baseball team based in Mobile, Alabama . The team, which plays in the Southern League , is the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres major-league club. The BayBears play in Hank Aaron Stadium , named after baseball's all-time home run king and Mobile native Hank Aaron. Opened in 1997, the park seats 6,000 fans.
