Information About

Middlesex County Volunteers

The Middlesex County Volunteers were founded in 1982 at the end of the United States Bicentennial celebration. The group is comprised of New England area musicians sixteen years old and older.

The Middlesex County Volunteers have performed extensively throughout New England at historic sites and their music can be heard in a 2003 film about American Revolution called The Deserter. They have also performed with John Williams and Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops for the Forth of July in front of half a million spectators and television viewers worldwide.

Recently they were featured at the Yshalle Tattoo in Basel, Switzerland and have been invited to perform at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2007 . This would make them the first American Fife & Drum ensemble to appear at this event.

2007 will mark the group's 25th anniversary year.
