Metro Markets was established in 1997 as a division of Mansour Manufacturing and Distribution, part of the Mansour Group (owned and managed by the Mansour family), a leading diversified private sector Conglomerate in Egypt. The first outlet was opened in 1998 , and Metro now has a major warehouse and about 20 retail outlets.
