Mercer County Young Republicans




Formally established in 2006, the Mercer County Young Republicans (MCYR) exists to further the interests of the Republican Party among the young people of Mercer County, Kentucky.



Mission


The MCYR works, first and foremost, to bring young people into the Republican Party and to povide them with a venue for political expression. Further, the MCYR fosters and encourages the activities of the Republican Party by promoting its ideals and candidates. Lastly, the MCYR strives to collect, analyze, discuss, and articulate the latest information related to happenings, shifts, characters, and philosophies within local, state, and national politics.


Membership



General Members

General membership is open to all registered Republicans between the ages of 18-40, who are legal residents of Mercer County.

Associate Members

Associate membership is open to all students in grades 9-12, who attend a secondary school in Mercer County.


Leadership


MCYR Officerships include: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Liaison Officer, and Outreach Officer.
